簡介

Richard Frey's worldwide Diptera collection. Ca. 10.000 species, including type material of some 700 taxa. Mostly material acquired by Frey, but some species have been added in the 1960s. A preliminary catalogue of species/taxa names is available for this collection: https://www.luomus.fi/fi/node/2131 ... see links on page for subsequent parts of the catalogue. A majority of the type specimens have been databased, but not photographed. Data is available through GBIF (dataset https://www.gbif.org/dataset/489cf6d8-4171-46bd-94b1-ca514fb2043f) or the Finnish National Biodiversity Portal (https://laji.fi/en/observation/map?collectionId=HR.163). Data quality: Largely identified by R. Frey himself. Most specimens have not been examined after Frey's death in the 1950s, thus the identifications are largely sensu circa 1920-1955.
